*How long does the syrup last once it’s made?
Elderberry syrup must be refrigerated. It will last about two months in the refrigerator before it starts to ferment. In the freezer, it will last six months.
*How much elderberry syrup do I take?
All dosage is suggested and should be discussed with a healthcare practitioner before use. The suggested dosing is on the bottle label.
*Is elderberry syrup safe for small children?
When made with honey, elderberry syrup should only be used for those aged 1 year and older. Elderberry is safe for 6 months and up when made with an alternative sweetener option.
